Hello lovelies! I’m so excited to introduce you to this weeks author, T.L. Henry. Please support her by following, liking, buying a copy of her book, and of course sharing! Love her book cover as well!! Have a fabulous weekend!
Hello everyone, I’m T L Henry and I want to give a big thank you to Kelly Miles for giving me this opportunity to introduce myself.
Interview questions:

How long have you known you wanted to be a writer?

I made it through the trials and tribulations of being a teen by writing poetry. None of that work has ever been published so I must be keeping it for myself. I knew then that I loved writing, but was unaware that I would ever be writing for the enjoyment of others.

What novels/works have you released and what are you working on now?

My husband challenged me to write my first novel in 2008. He said I had mentioned it too many times to not give it a try. I got smart and said, “Maybe I will.” After a couple of hours at the computer, my first chapter was written for my first novel, Meadowbrook Summer which was published in 2009. Meadowbrook Summer is a coming of age novel for teens set in a small southern town where young love goes through its challenges; teens learn what it means to mature, take risks and perfect the art of friendship.

My life became a whirlwind and I did not write again until January of 2015. By late spring of 2015 my second novel, Secrets I’ve Been Keeping, was released. This romance/drama coupled with a heaping helping of humor was a blast to write. Rowan is the developer who has a secret he has only shared with two people. Those two people happen to be his wife’s two closest friends. Blathe works for Rowan and would like nothing more than to get wind of this secret and use it against him. What happens to Blathe when she does? What happens to Rowan when Anna, his wife, is made aware? Personalities collide within this upscale development and we find out that people aren’t always who they portray themselves to be. Secrets are not meant to be shared, but in this small town, revenge is sweet.

Currently, I am working on the sequel to Secrets I’ve Been Keeping. In Secrets Revealed, I’ve taken one of the more interesting characters and expanded on their story. Secrets revealed should be released by summer 2016.

Do you have any tips for other authors who are just starting out?

For those authors who are just starting out, I would say to enjoy what you are doing and believe in what you are writing. It is always apparent when I read a novel that is written by an author who truly loves writing. Secondly, don’t worry about being an Indie author/traditional author. Both have their pros and cons.

Is there anyone who has influenced your writing?

Yes, when I was little, I read the Boxcar Children series By Gertrude chandler Warner and she had a way of making me feel as if I could taste the stew being cooked over a fire or feel a character’s emotions. I would say that from early on, I remembered her style of writing and have tried to give my readers a story they could feel, rather than just read.

Any favorite authors or quotes?

Benjamin Franklin once said, “Either write something worth reading or do something worth writing.”

Vivian Greene said, “Life isn’t about waiting for the storm to pass, it’s about learning to dance in the rain.

Those two quotes remind me to do the best that I can and to make the best of what I’m given.

Tell us a little about yourself…

I’m Author T L Henry and I’m an Indie Writer who lives in the Atlanta, Ga metro area. If I’m not reading, I’m probably writing. Along with writing, I am married and have three adult daughters. I’m a registered dental hygienist and the primary caregiver of my 85 years young father. How do I do it? One day at a time coupled with much love and affection. I love to write and studying people gives me great ideas for future characters.

This review is from: Secrets I’ve Been Keeping (Kindle Edition)

Good book. Well written in the Faulker style with lots of detail. Reminded me so much of Dean Faulker Wells style of writing in Every Day By The Sun.

My husband ordered this book for me. Knowing I love a good romance novel but the stories seems to be the same. Not this one though! The husband is a good guy and so is his wife! They really love each other. The spin is funny and keeps you turning the pages. Great read. I hope there’s a second book on the other characters in the book, it left me wondering where their live may go.
